Terms and Conditions

  1. By entering the competition you hereby accept these terms and competition rules.
  2. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit. All entries must be independent creations by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions. Entries must be unique and not plagiarise any other entries.
  3. Employees of the promoter and any third-party judges are ineligible to enter the competition, as are their immediate families.
  4. The full name of the entrant whose work is selected as a winner or finalist may be published online.
  5. To enter, entrants must create a tile on Infinity Mural (https://infinitymural.com). After the tile has been created and purchased, the entrant is automatically entered into the competition with the tile as their submission. Multiple entries are accepted by the same entrant but will require the respective purchase for each tile. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  6. All entries will be reviewed and pre-screened by the promoter. The screened entries are then reviewed by our judges. The judges will choose the winner. The decisions of the judges are final.
  7. Each judge will be given the pre-screened and refined list of tiles and create a new list ranking from best-to-last. This list will be ordered from 1 to x, where x is the number of tiles the judges are judging. Each judge will do this independently of one another. The tile that has the highest average rank across the three ranked judges lists will be awarded the winner. The highest average rank possible is 1. Therefore if a tile has an average rank of 2.3 and another tile has an average rank of 2.6, the tile with the average rank 2.3 is regarded as a higher average rank. In the event of a tie (more than one tile with the highest average rank), the tiles that tied first with the highest average rank will be given to the judges again for judging. During this tiebreak, the judges must collaboratively decide a winner and provide a reason.
  8. The judges and promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which violates the Community Guidelines of Infinity Mural. The judges and promoters decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. All entries become and remain the property of the promoter.
  10. The competition is open to everyone that is 18 years and older.
  11. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary due to circumstances outside its control.
  12. Promotion commences 6:00am 13 June 2021 Australian Central Standard Time (ACST). Entries close 11:59pm 31 July 2021 ACST.
  13. Entries must be submitted no later than the deadline of 11:59pm 31 July 2021 ACST.
  14. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms. In agreeing to these terms, you also agree to the terms of service for Infinity Mural. You also agree for us to use your personal details as required which is explained in the privacy policy found on Infinity Mural. We require no extra use and storage of personal information for this competition that is not already required for the use of Infinity Mural.
  15. The prize that the winning entrant will receive is a total of $1000 AUD. The prize cannot be exchanged for a different prize. The entrant will be contacted digitally through the email address associated with their winning submission. If the winning entrant does not claim the prize within a total of 30 days, the submission that was judged the ‘next best’ based on individual creative merit will be awarded. The same process of contacting the next winning entrant will be followed. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, no winning entrant in the competition claims the prize with no remaining entrants to award as the winner, the prize will be forfeited by all entrants.
  16. Cash prizes will be paid by wire transfer or other electronic methods. Any fees incurred for foreign currency transfers will be deducted from the winning amount.
  17. If the winner requires a transfer of currency, the currency rate will be subject to the value on the day of transfer.
  18. In no event will the promoter, Infinity Mural, its members, event partners or its officers, directors, employees, be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of any contestant’s access to and use of the website and participation in the competition.
